Is compensation for certain types of injury/damage given priority?

Yes, but only when the Committee determines that the €1-billion fund is not enough to pay out all claims in full, or when the Committee does not have enough information to determine whether it will suffice. Compensation for death and bodily injury is then given priority, followed by material damage and finally non-material damage.
