The non-profit organisation ASBL/VZW TRIP (Terrorism Reinsurance and Insurance Pool) was founded jointly by Assuralia and several insurance companies.
The members of the organisation are insurance companies, Assuralia, the Joint Belgian Guarantee Fund (FCGB/BGWF) and the Belgian Motor Insurance Bureau (BBAA/BBAV).
The organisation was created for the purpose of compliance with the Law of 1 April 2007 on insurance against damage caused by terrorism. ASBL/VZW TRIP apportions the cost of compensation between its member companies.
The Statutes of ASBL/VZW TRIP have been published in the Annexes to the Belgian Official Gazette.
